Dr. Gang Ruan’s professorship

Dr. Gang Ruan was appointed as a professor (and a founding member) of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Modern Engineering and Applied Sciences of Nanjing University, China. He is also a “National Thousand Global Talents” awardee from the Chinese Central Government. He was one of the few awardees who received RMB 3 million (1 million higher than the normal amount 2 million) as the startup fund, along with matching funds from the university and college, respectively.
He was elected to be a representative to participate in the 2nd National Thousand Global Talents Representatives Meeting held in Hangzhou, China. He was appointed as an adjunct professor of the Ohio State University, an advisor of the Technology Commercialization Research Center, Nanjing University, a senior advisor of economy and technology development of Haimen City, China, and an advisor of the Social Innovation Lab, Baltimore, U. S. A.
